Darren Kingsnorth

Darren is the Head of Threat Intelligence & Analytics at Admiral Group where he heads up the organisation’s intelligence function to inform decision making at all levels. Having spent a decade in an adversarial setting across a number of verticals as a colloquial tester of pens, has since spent the last 5 years specialising within Open Source and Threat Intelligence. With a belief that diversity of mindset and differing biases within teams ultimately brings forth alternative and novel solutions, he actively supports and is involved in such external programmes as Code First Girls as a mentor, Cyber College Cymru as a trainer and other external engagements to pay it forward.

Richard Hicks

Richard is the Threat Emulation Team Lead at Admiral Group, where he spends his days with his team plotting how best to test the People, Processes and Technologies Admiral use to protect their customer’s data. Having spent the last 14+ years in offensive security, starting in penetration testing before moving onto adversary emulation/simulation for large organisations around the globe, he now helps to ensure Admiral’s infosec team and the controls they implement, and monitor are up to scratch. Richard actively supports newcomers to cyber security with his work delivering workshops for Cyber College Cymru, an initiative intended to involve local industry partners with local colleges, in order to pass on the various techniques and skills students need to progress in this field.

Tom Rowan

Tom is a Senior Pentester at Admiral. He has over 25 years experience of sitting in data centres and marking other people’s homework.
When not hacking computers, Tom enjoys messing about with radios, electronics and other generally nerdy behaviour. He is involved in delivering the Cyber College Cymru initiative, and trains young people within the RAF Air Cadets.
